Suffice it to say that dishonesty by a solicitor is a very serious matter

Courts and regulators (quite rightly) take an extremely dim view of solicitors who fail to tell the truth or conceal matters.

This is because as the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) says:

the public should be able to trust a solicitor “to the ends of the earth” (see here).
